Aftercare weeks with rehabilitation character for families with heart children

Every year Herzkinder Austria organises three summer weeks for heart families. These are aftercare weeks with rehabilitation character for families whose children have undergone open heart surgery.

For each of the three weeks, 20 families from all over Austria with heart children and their siblings have the opportunity to spend a summer week together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere - a week with many creative activities.

The aim is to strengthen the families, to give heart children and their siblings new courage and renewed energy on their journey, to be able to better process what they have experienced during the operations and to show to everyone present that:

You are not alone - everyone is in the same boat. Nobody understands them as well as the other heart families.
